An elderly woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run collision in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, police said Monday.
The collision was reported at 4:55 p.m. Saturday at Sixth and Mission streets.
The 85-year-old victim was crossing the street when a vehicle struck her. The 47-year-old man driving the car fled but was located and arrested.
The victim was taken to a hospital and an update on her condition was not immediately available this afternoon. Police have not released the name of the suspect.
