Fire officials said an 82-year-old man was taken to a hospital after he fell about 80 feet down a hill in Alameda County and was rescued Wednesday night by firefighters, according to the county’s fire department.
As of 10:03 p.m., the man had been rescued from a hill on Greenridge Court in the unincorporated Alameda County community of Castro Valley.
Firefighters performed a low angle technical rescue after the man fell down the hill in his backyard.
After the rescue, the man did not have any complaints of pain or injuries, however, he was taken to a hospital as a precaution, fire officials said.
