Full containment was announced around 3:30 p.m.
The fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday two miles north of the community of Nicasio and 10 miles from downtown Novato.
About 100 firefighters from fire agencies throughout the county and Cal Fire responded, and there were no evacuation orders or structures threatened, county fire officials said.
