A man was arrested after allegedly driving recklessly into South San Francisco High School’s parking lot and then climbing a nearby electric pole Wednesday morning.
Police said they received reports of a man ramming his vehicle into parked cars at a business in the 500 block of El Camino Real at 7:10 a.m.
The man then drove out of the parking lot across El Camino Real into the parking lot of South San Francisco High School, according to police. The school was not impacted during the incident.
Officers said the suspect continued driving and hit a cement pillar and eventually disabled the car after hitting another parked car and adjacent fence on B Street.
Police said the driver exited the car and climbed a nearby electrical pole, where he was located by responding emergency personnel. The man eventually fell to the ground and was taken into custody.
Tsado Mohammed, a resident of the state of Georgia, was first taken to a trauma center for medical evaluation. Police said after being released from the hospital, he will be arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, felony vandalism and delaying or obstructing an officer.
No one was injured in the incident and the cause or motive has not been determined, according to police.
