Man, woman found dead in Novato apartment

Novato police are investigation the deaths of a man and a woman who were found inside an apartment Monday morning.

A family member asked the apartment manager to check on the welfare of the female resident of the apartment in the 1500 block of Hill Road because she had not been heard from since Saturday, police said.

The apartment manager called police at 9:07 a.m. Officers did not receive a response at the door and found the deceased older adults inside, police Lt. Sasha D’Amico said.

Police were waiting for a search warrant this afternoon and it’s uncertain if both the man and woman lived in the apartment, D’Amico said.

Police said there is no threat to the community at this time.
