Armed felons arrested after fleeing traffic stop

At 10:40 a.m., an officer pulled over a Toyota RAV4 with four people inside in the 300 block of Travis Boulevard. Once the vehicle was stopped, the driver and the front passenger got out and ran in separate directions, police said.
The driver was caught and arrested without incident, but the passenger ran south into the surrounding neighborhood, police said.
With help from witnesses, officers located him in the area of North Texas Street and Bell Avenue where he was taken into custody.
Officers searched the area where the passenger ran and recovered a sweatshirt and a handgun that he allegedly discarded while trying to flee, police said.
The two passengers in the back seat of the Toyota, a male and female, were detained without incident when they tried to leave the area.
The female passenger was allegedly in possession of a loaded 9mm firearm. She was identified as 37-year-old Jamie Nelson of Fairfield and was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of multiple offenses, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
The driver was identified as 36-year-old Jamie Wright of Fairfield. He was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of resisting arrest and possessing a stolen vehicle.
One of the male passengers was identified as 40-year-old Michael Richerson of Fairfield. He was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of multiple offenses including being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, police said.
Police did not identify the fourth suspect.
