Four arrested after Golden Gate Bridge robbery

The California Highway Patrol arrested four Fresno residents, including two juveniles, on suspicion of robbing a Marin County man at the Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point early Tuesday morning.

The victim said four young males demanded personal electronics items from him at gunpoint around 3:35 a.m., CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.

The victim followed the suspects’ vehicle to Sausalito while the CHP was responding, and he directed the officers to a Sausalito residence where the suspects parked their vehicle and fled on foot, Barclay said.

During a search for the suspects by the CHP and Sausalito and San Rafael police, Andrade Andres, 21, of Fresno was detained at the suspects’ vehicle. The victim positively identified Andres as one of the robbery suspects and he was arrested, Barclay said. The three other suspects were not found.

Sausalito police then received a call around 7 a.m. about three males looking into unoccupied vehicles on residential streets. Police responded, detained the three additional suspects and notified the CHP, Barclay said.

The CHP interviewed the three additional suspects at the CHP office and arrested them for their involvement in the robbery.

Andres was booked in the Marin County Jail for felony armed robbery, and Jackson Reese Bauman, 20, was booked in the jail for robbery and being an accessory to a crime, Barclay said.

The other two suspects, two 14-year-old boys, were booked in Juvenile Hall for robbery and being an accessory to a crime.
