A fatal vehicle collision occurred Friday night in Sunnyvale, according to public safety officials.
The collision occurred on Lawrence Expressway between Sandia Avenue and Tasman Drive, Sunnyvale public safety officials initially said at about 10:10 p.m.
All northbound lanes of Lawrence Expressway have been closed in the area and officials estimate they won’t reopen until early Saturday morning.
Three southbound lanes on Lawrence Expressway have also been closed, between Tasman and Lakebird drives, according to authorities.
Further information about the fatal collision was not immediately available.
Public safety officials are asking drivers to avoid the area and to use alternate routes.
