At 9:39 a.m., fire crews from multiple agencies responded to a residential structure fire on Bird Rock Road. At the scene, firefighters saw smoke coming from the home’s garage and quickly attacked the blaze.
According to fire officials, the fire was contained to the area of origin at 9:46 a.m., and completely extinguished by 10:13 a.m. The fire did not extend further into the home, but did cause an estimated $1,000 in damage to contents.
