Three people were shot in two incidents in Oakland on Wednesday night, including two people wounded in a rolling gunbattle through West Oakland.
The West Oakland shooting happened in the area of Seventh and Brush streets at about 10:30 p.m. Two people were wounded, a 26-year-old man in a car and a 32-year-old homeless man, according to police. Both are in stable condition.
Taylor Huckaby, a BART spokesman, said he was caught in the crossfire while on his way to an In-N-Out Burger restaurant. He posted about the ordeal on Twitter, saying that occupants of two cars in front of his started shooting at each other.
Dozens of shots were fired, Huckaby said.
An earlier shooting in East Oakland wounded a 25-year-old man. The shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 2400 block of 84th Avenue, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police provided no information about possible suspects, motives in the shootings or the progress of their investigations, if any.
