4 people arrested in 2 homicide incidents

Two homicides occurred during two separate incidents Thursday night in San Francisco, according to police.

The first homicide was in the Pacific Heights neighborhood. At around 9:25 p.m. officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2000 block of Sutter Street, police said.

The victim, a 56-year-old woman, was found suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of her family.

One person, described as a 39-year-old man, was arrested in connected with the stabbing. His identity has not been released and a possible motive for the stabbing remains under investigation, Officer Giselle Talkoff said.

The second homicide occurred around 11:55 p.m., near the city’s Outer Mission District. Officers responded to the corner of Mission Street and Geneva Avenue for a report of a shooting, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to the hospital, police said.

One of the victims, an 18-year-old woman, suffered non life-threatening injuries. The second victim, a man in his 20s, died shortly after arriving at the hospital, according to Talkoff.

Three people were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting.

Police have not released the identity of the three suspects, described only as a 20-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation, Talkoff said.
