Five of 12 tour buses inspected Saturday in northern Sonoma County by California Highway Patrol officers were taken out of service for safety and/or driver violations, CHP officials said.
Officers and specialists inspected the buses near the intersection of state Highway 128 and Remmel Road in the unincorporated community of Geyserville.
The buses were en route to River Rock Casino on Highway 128.
Officers stopped the buses and told the drivers to drop off their riders and then come back for an inspection, according to the CHP.
Officers and specialists spotted 17 violations in all.
