Around 5:30 p.m. officers were investigating a hit-and-run in the 8100 block of Meadowlark Court, near Bridgepointe Park.
Shortly after that, the vehicle involved in the collision was reported stolen by a family member of the suspected driver, police said.
Security video footage of the crash allowed investigators to identify the suspected driver, who was booked into the Fremont jail after being arrested at the police station.
The suspect’s identity was not immediately available.
