Muni driver hurt after crashing into parked van

The driver of a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus was taken to a hospital after his bus crashed into a parked van late Monday morning in The City’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, according to a Muni spokesman.

The crash occurred around 11:25 a.m. near Jackson and Scott streets just outside the Town School for Boys, an independent elementary and middle school for boys, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

The driver was operating a 3-Jackson line outbound bus at the time, according to Rose. The driver complained of pain in his neck and was taken to a hospital.

Rose did not know if anyone else was injured as a result of the crash.
