Raiders trim to 75 players

Some guys just didn’t do enough.

The Oakland Raiders cut their roster down to 75 men ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, with another cut coming this Saturday.

Center Ross Burbank, long snapper Andrew East, guard Terran Vaughn, safeties Chris Edwards, Chris Hackett and Jimmy Hall, defensive back Tramain James, linebacker Lenny Jones, defensive tackle Leon Orr, receivers Nathan Palmer and Joe Hansley, tight end Colton Underwood and Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio were let go by the team and are now subject to waivers.

Saturday, the Raiders must trim their roster to 53 men, becoming the opening day squad. There is also a strong possibility that the Raiders add a body or two in the backfield, as the running backs currently on the team are not as strong as other groups around the league.

Tight end Gabe Holmes was placed on injured reserve and will not play this season.
