After being arrested on charges of assault and battery Sunday morning, Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green will be formerly prosecuted, according to East Lansing city attorney Tom Yeadon.
Yeadon said Wednesday that a pretrial court date has been set for August, though that is subject to change.
EARLIER Draymond Green was drunk night of arrest.The star forward was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly assaulting Jermaine Edmondson at Conrad’s restaurant in East Lansing, Mich. Police described the alleged assault as a open-handed slap, while Edmondson said Green punched him in a statement to police.
Edmondson alleges a history involving the two, and said in a statement to police that associates of Green had choked him Friday evening.
Green’s alleged assault, which was witnessed by a police officer on the other side of the establishment’s window, led to misdemeanor assault and battery charges, which carry a maximum penalty of 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.
