An American Airlines flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles was diverted Friday morning to Mineta San Jose International Airport because of a mechanical issue, a spokesman for the airlines said.
American Airlines Flight 169 had departed from San Francisco International Airport at 5:57 a.m. on its way to Los Angeles International Airport when the captain got an indication of a pressurization issue, spokesman Matt Miller said.
The captain elected to land in San Jose. The Boeing 737 was at the gate at 6:42 a.m. with six crew and 159 passengers on board. No one was injured, Miller said.
A maintenance team was still working on the problem as of about 9:45 a.m. The plane was scheduled to resume its flight at 10 a.m., according to Miller.
