A female suspect who was shot by San Francisco police in the city’s Bayview District this morning has died at San Francisco General Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
The shooting occurred around 10 a.m. in the area of Shafter Avenue and Elmira Street, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
UPDATE 4:16 p.m. Woman shot dead San Francisco police was driving stolen car.The suspect was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there later this morning, according to SFGH spokesman Brent Andrew. Her name is not yet being released.
Police have not provided any information about what led to the shooting.
