Scooter rider killed in Bernal Cut hit-and-run
A man who was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision while riding a scooter early Sunday morning in San Francisco's Glen Park neighborhood has been identified.

A man who was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision while riding a scooter early Sunday morning in San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood has been identified, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m., San Francisco resident Dennis Nix, 60, was traveling south on San Jose Avenue near Monterey Boulevard and the Glen Park BART station when the collision occurred, police said.
A light-colored sedan apparently struck Nix and then fled the scene, according to San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of the collision and pronounced Nix dead.
Police are investigating the hit-and-run collision and have not yet made any arrests, Gatpandan said.
