Officers responded to a report of a body in a creek in the area of North 17th and East Santa Clara streets shortly before 10 a.m., police Officer Albert Morales said.
The intersection is near Coyote Creek and Roosevelt Park.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene, where they found a partially submerged body in the water, Morales said.
Crews are working to retrieve the body this morning, he said.
The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office is leading the investigation into the incident, he said.
