Police in Morgan Hill are warning the public to be cautious after two women had their purses forcibly stolen outside of local stores on Thursday and Friday.
A woman in a Walmart parking lot at 170 Cochrane Plaza was approached Thursday afternoon by a young Hispanic male suspect who forcibly took her purse and then fled the parking lot in a green Honda minivan that police said was stolen.
Another woman had her purse forcibly taken Friday afternoon in the parking lot of a Safeway store at 840 E. Dunne Ave. by a young Hispanic male suspect who fled in a silver Honda sedan.
Both suspects fled north on Highway 101 toward San Jose. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Officer Mitch Ponza at (408) 779-2101.
Police are asking people to be aware of their surroundings and avoid leaving property unattended.
