A tour bus driver suffered major injuries in Sausalito Sunday afternoon when he was pinned between two buses while trying to help another bus driver, according to police.
Police were dispatched to the vicinity of 750 Bridgeway at 12:27 p.m. Sunday on report of a traffic collision that resulted in a major injury.
On further investigation, they determined a 55-year-old tour bus driver had been standing behind a bus, helping another driver up, when he was pinned in between the vehicles, according to police.
The victim was transported to Marin General Hospital with major injuries, and later transferred to Stanford Medical Center. He suffered a fractured pelvis and possible spinal injuries, but is in stable condition according to police.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and officers are attempting to determine the cause of the accident and who is at fault. That process usually takes at least a week.
