A 29-year-old man ran away from bail bond agents while he was being booked Wednesday afternoon at Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose, a police spokesman said Thursday.
Nghounoi Neang, who remains at large, has a felony warrant for assault and burglary, police Officer Albert Morales said.
Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, bail bond agents notified officers that a man they arrested on the warrant fled while handcuffed from the jail at 150 W. Hedding St., Morales said.
Officers searched for Neang for about four hours but were unable to locate him, according to Morales.
