The Oakland A’s have invited Justine Siegal to be a guest instructor for the team’s Arizona instructional league slate.
During her time as a guest instructor with the A’s, Siegal will assist the A’s player development staff both on and off the field, according to a statement from the team.
Siegal directs a program that champions gender equity in sport for Northeastern University’s Center for the Study of Sport in Society, a world-renowned leader for more than thirty years in using sport to promote social justice and primary prevention education specific to all forms of violence, including youth and relationship violence.
In spring of 2011, Siegal threw batting practice for six Major League teams: the A’s, Indians, Rays, Cardinals, Astros and Mets.
