A Marin County Sheriff’s Office dive team is assisting in the search for a missing juvenile this evening in Sonoma County, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office called the Marin County Sheriff’s Office at about 4:30 p.m. to ask for assistance in locating the juvenile who was last seen behind a personal watercraft on Lake Sonoma, Marin County Sheriff’s Lt. Doug Pittman said.
The juvenile was being pulled behind the watercraft when the occupants of the craft turned around and the juvenile was gone, Pittman said.
Pittman said the juvenile was being pulled through an area of deep water.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the search because Sonoma County does not maintain a dive team, according to Pittman.
