A 36-year-old Southern California man who died after falling through a skylight atop a building in San Francisco’s Mission District early Tuesday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office.
Daniel Lopez, of Temecula, fell through the skylight of a building in the first block of Shotwell Street near 14th Street and landed in the garage below at about 4:20 a.m.
Medics received a 911 call reporting that a man had fallen through a skylight. At about 4:30 a.m., medics pronounced Lopez dead at the scene.
Police said Lopez had apparently been on the roof drinking with a friend prior to his fall.
