Fire crews removed eight ducklings from a storm drain near Interstate Highway 680 in Concord Saturday afternoon, reuniting them with a parent duck, a fire dispatcher said.
A caller reported seeing the ducklings below the storm drain gate around noon at the Willow Pass Road off-ramp from Highway 680, according to the dispatcher.
The dispatcher said the firefighters scooped up the ducklings and moved them to the other side of the highway, where a parent duck was waiting.
