A’s fans react to sixth straight loss

A’s fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the team after Monday night’s 11-inning 5-4 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

Oakland lost their sixth straight game, and their sixth in extra innings against zero extra innings wins.

In their therapeutic social media outbursts, tweeters called for both Billy Beane and Bob Melvin’s heads. Some said they wanted to start crying and never stop. Some acted as if the 140 characters were saving them from jumping over the edge.

The A's will have the same record as the Brewers after tonight, who fired their manager last week. Can Oakland follow suit please?

In less melodramatic fashion, a few fans expressed their disappointment along with their intent to remain hopeful and loyal to the boys in green and yellow.

Even when they feel as though management has failed the fans and that the bullpen resembles garbage cans. Literally.

One thing fans can agree on is that something needs to change to secure an Oakland win. And fast.

Attendance heavily relies on wins to draw supporters to the Coliseum for future games.  Especially since the A’s have won only four home games this year.

The time is now for players to give themselves and fans something to be excited about. The fans are struggling to “hang in there” for a win. They are past tired of waiting and are ready for their relationship with past glory.
