Man killed in North Beach fire

Firefighters Friday morning remain at the scene of a structure that killed a man in the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco.

Firefighters responded at 10:01 p.m. Thursday to 1050 Columbus Ave. in response to a structure fire at a residence, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. The one-alarm fire was under control by 10:29 p.m.

One person, who has not been identified, died in the blaze, firefighters said. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire, but firefighters said arson investigators have been called to the scene.
