Fairfield police shot and injured a suspect Thursday morning, police said.
The shooting happened after officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 2000 block of Sousa Court at 7:49 a.m., according to police. The suspect was struck by gunfire but police have not elaborated on the severity of his injuries.
Police have released few details about what led up to the shooting, but said no officers were injured and there is no threat to the public.
