Winds cancel South San Francisco ferry

South San Francisco ferry service to the East Bay has been canceled for this evening and a bus shuttle is in place due to high winds on the San Francisco Bay, according to a ferry spokesman.

San Francisco Bay Ferry spokesman Ernest Sanchez said ferry service from South San Francisco to Oakland and Alameda has been canceled this afternoon.

Ferries that were initially scheduled to depart from South San Francisco at 4:20 p.m., 5:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. were canceled due to high winds. Sanchez said that buses will be provided to ferry commuters to get them to their destinations across the Bay this evening.
