New Year’s Eve revelers in San Mateo County can enjoy the night and get home for free safely on public transit, SamTrans officials said.
Free rides on all SamTrans bus lines will begin at 8 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. on New Year’s Day. The service on New Year’s Eve will be the same as the service on regular, non-school days, SamTrans officials said.
SamTrans paratransit provider Redi-Wheels will also offer free rides between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. SamTrans will operate on a Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day, transit officials said.
