BART is offering up to two free children's rides to Oakland Airport via their brand-new tram during the holiday season.
BART officials are offering free trips to Oakland International Airport for children ages 12 and under during the holiday season.
The promotion, which launched last Friday and runs through Jan. 4, is available for two children per adult. Passes can be obtained by going to www.bart.gov/airport and following the directions.
Children eligible for the promotion must print out and use a “FlashPass” for entry from any BART station and must take the new airport connector train from the Coliseum station.
Return trips from the airport must also use the new connector and a station agent at the Coliseum station will provide a return “FlashPass” for use to any BART station, according to the agency.
The new $484 million airport connector opened last month, with a one-way trip costing $6. More information is available online at www.bart.gov/airport.
