A 30-year-old man was killed in a crash on a transition lane between Interstate Highway 280 and U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., the man was driving a 1994 Acura on a lane from southbound Highway 280 to southbound Highway 101 where he lost control of his vehicle, CHP officials said.
