Deputies have identified four suspects in a shooting that killed a teen and injured three other victims at a birthday party in Windsor last month, Sonoma County sheriff’s officials said today.
One of the suspects, Sergio Quiroz, 21, has already been arrested. The sheriff’s office has also obtained arrest warrants for three teens: 17-year-old Flavio Caballero, 16-year-old Duane Morgan, and 16-year-old Oscar Aguilar.
All four suspects are Santa Rosa residents. Quiroz is being held without bail in Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of being an accessory to murder, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities believe the suspects are responsible for the shooting death of 15-year-old Nathaniel Torres at a birthday party on Windsor Avenue at 12:47 a.m. on June 22. Three other victims — ages 17, 21 and 24 — were also shot there but survived their injuries, sheriff’s deputies said.
Witnesses told investigators the shooter fled in a blue Nissan compact car with three other people. Deputies initially said that a female was believed to be driving the car, but they have identified no female suspects.
Deputies said the shooting is believed to be gang-related and the sheriff’s office considers the suspects armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about Caballero, Morgan or Aguilar has been asked to call the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office investigations bureau at (707) 565-2185.
Anyone who sees the suspects has been advised to not approach them but instead call 911 immediately.
