Golden Gate Park fairy studio hits Craigslist

Everyone is looking to make an extra buck these days, including the fairies of Golden Gate Park.

Since moving to their larger digs over Labor Day weekend, it seems the original “Faery Door” near the Music Concourse is now available to rent.

According to a Craigslist apartment ad posted on Tuesday, the one-square-foot Golden Gate Park studio is “close to nature, a true rarity.” With accessible street parking and a shared outdoor bathroom, this pet-friendly elm tree flat will set you back $2,350 a month.

And that’s not even including PG&E and cable, or the mandatory non-refundable $35 credit check.

Seems a little expensive, but I guess that’s the price of living in a magic portal.

If you’re interested, don’t dilly dally — according to the Craigslist post, a hot spot like this won’t last long.

  • I thought the ad was kinda funny, but whoever posted it used a photo of Rio without my permission and didn't respond to my requests that it be removed, so some friends and I had to flag it off. - T. Powell
