Harbaugh hospitalized for wonky heartbeat

Being a huge Jim Harbaugh fan, I totally believed him when he told the press that he never got sick:

“I don’t take vacations. I don’t get sick. I don’t observe major holidays. I’m a jack hammer.”

And let’s be real, I’m not the only Harbaugh fan out there.

So I expect that I’m not the only person who felt an instant pang of worry upon hearing that the San Francisco 49ers head coach was hospitalized on Thursday.

Did you just give out a sad sigh? Yeah, that’s the same thing I did.

CBS-SF reports Harbaugh was absent from Thursday practice after being taken to the hospital for an irregular heartbeat.

So now the Niners aren’t only waiting to hear if quarterback Alex Smith has passed his concussion tests, but they’re going to have to keep their fingers crossed that their coach is healthy enough to be on the sidelines.

The good news: The team announced that Harbaugh would undergo a “minor procedure” at Stanford Hospital to rectify the problem, and that he is expected to rejoin the team on Friday.

That’s right. Friday. Fresh outta the hospital.

Quick turn-around, right? Har-badger don’t care.
