Some people just can’t take a hint.
As in the case of Gregory Foto, 42, of Livermore. Fremont police responded to a report from their local Hooters restaurant that a patron was heavily intoxicated and belligerent, said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
Turns out, Foto has been banned from bars for life and shouldn’t have been there in the first place, let alone causing trouble.
Restaurant employees told police during the 10:35 p.m. call Sunday that Foto refused to leave when approached.
Officers noted that Foto had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol and informed him that the managers wanted him out.
Foto did not know where he lived and became hostile because he was convinced he wasn’t doing anything wrong, police said.
Police discovered after checking his record that he was on probation for two previous assault charges and for being drunk in public five times, so officers arrested Foto on suspicion of violating probation.
A court order showed a judge had banned Foto from all bars, according to police.
