San Francisco police are investigating a New Year’s Eve shooting in the Richmond District that left one person dead.
Police said officers arrived at approximately 9:32 p.m. Friday of a reported shooting on the 200 block of Cornwall Street. Officers located a 24-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers provided aid to the victim and summoned medics to the scene. The male victim was transported to the hospital where he died of injuries, police said. No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the SFPD Tip Line at (415) 575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP4111 and begin the text message with “SFPD.” Persons who provide tips can remain anonymous.
