Albany seniors and residents with physical disabilities can get free rides to vaccination appointments at Golden Gate Fields, a transportation provider said Wednesday.
Easy Does It Emergency Services will be providing the roundtrip rides to residents 60 years old and older and residents with physical disabilities though at the track, where only people 75 and up are being vaccinated currently.
Rides are available each day of the week and vans are equipped to lift wheelchairs and accommodate other mobility devices.
Rides can be arranged by calling (510) 704-2111 after making a vaccination appointment online.
Easy Does It is also providing urgent rides to Berkeley seniors and residents with disabilities for $15 per roundtrip. The rides can be for vaccinations or other reasons within the city of Berkeley through the Rescue Rides program.
The service for Albany residents was made possible through a contract with the city, which reached out to the company for its services.
