San Francisco transit officials and San Francisco Beautiful on Thursday kicked off the 2020 Muni Art Project, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which operates the San Francisco Municipal Railway or Muni.
This year’s theme focuses on “Hidden Gems of San Francisco.”
The kickoff began at 10:30 a.m. on the Polk Street steps of City Hall at 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place in San Francisco.
Goals for the project include promoting area artists and poets, enhancing the commute for the 100,000 daily Muni travelers and engaging the public.
