A man was found fatally shot in East Oakland on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded at 4:01 p.m. to a ShotSpotter gunshot detection system activation in the 1300 block of 85th Avenue. There, they found the man, an Oakland resident who had gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s name is not yet being released, pending notification of his family.
Police have not released any other details about the case, including any suspect description.
