Santa Cruz police arrest arson and vandalism suspect

The suspect damaged property at the Tannery Arts Center complex and set fire to landscaped patches in 1100 block of River Street early in the morning of Aug. 22, according to police.
Police saw 25-year-old Eduardo Lopez walking in the 100 block of Emmett Street on Monday at about 3:40 p.m. and later identified him as the suspect captured on surveillance video.
Police said he had two outstanding arrest warrants and was booked into jail on suspicion of arson and vandalism, in addition to supplying a minor with alcohol, possessing drugs and paraphernalia.
