The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified a jogger who was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in San Ramon as 37-year-old Allan King Jr., of Walnut Creek.
King was struck by an eastbound vehicle on Crow Canyon Road in the vicinity of the Iron Horse Regional Trail just before 7 a.m.
He was transported to San Ramon Regional Medical center but was pronounced dead there.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene, cooperated with their investigation and is not thought to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Still, police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the fatal crash to contact them at (925) 973-2700.
