The suspect walked into the bank, located at 1 California St., at 3:47 p.m.
He handed the teller a note before fleeing the scene, according to police, although it was unclear whether he got away with any money.
He was apprehended at 3:55 p.m., just a few blocks away in the vicinity of 301 Mission St.
