U.S. Coast Guard and Cal Fire crews on Saturday rescued three boaters from a disabled vessel near Point Pinos in Monterey County.
The stranded boaters contacted Coast Guard Sector San Francisco around 11:30 a.m. and reported their 19-foot had become disabled.
A Coast Guard crew responded to the area and was able to transfer one of the boaters to a Coast Guard lifeboat, and a Cal Fire crew transferred the other two boaters from the disabled vessel as it drifted closer to shore.
The vessel eventually beached, and the owner is making plans to salvage it, according to the Coast Guard.
There were no reported injuries during the incident, and there is no threat of pollution from the vessel.
