The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified a motorcyclist who died after a crash in Marin County on Sunday as Welmar Garcia, 32, of San Francisco.
Garcia was riding a motorcycle on state Highway 1 just south of Fairfax-Bolinas Road near the Bolinas Lagoon when he slid off the road and down into a rocky area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the crash around 11 a.m. and a CHP helicopter flew Garcia to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Garcia died at the hospital around 1 p.m.
