A man was killed in a shooting on Broadway in downtown Oakland on Monday night, according to police.

A man was killed in a shooting on Broadway in downtown Oakland on Monday night, according to police.
At about 9:55 p.m., officers heard gunshots and responded to the 1300 block of Broadway, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His name is not yet being released.
Police have not released any suspect information in connection with the shooting.
