In a dramatic rescue, three people trapped on a cliff at Baker Beach just south of the Golden Gate Bridge Friday afternoon were hoisted to safety by San Francisco firefighters.
The three got lost and trapped on a cliff around 1:30 p.m. today and called 911 dispatchers, fire officials reported on social media.
Around 2:15 p.m., fire department rescuers found the three stranded people and began a high-angle rope rescue to bring them to safety, according to fire officials.
In the rope rescue, the rescuers hoisted the victims up the cliff, the fire department said.
Around 4 p.m., the three were safely rescued, according to the fire department. None of the three were injured, fire officials said.
