Oakland police identify man fatally shot
A man who was fatally shot in Oakland on Monday was identified by police Tuesday as 25-year-old Justin Sessions of Oakland.

Sessions was shot shortly before 8 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of East 21st Street in Oakland’s Highland Terrace neighborhood south of Lake Merritt, police said.
Officers responded to the scene to investigate the shooting, but by that time Sessions had been transported to nearby Highland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.
Authorities haven’t released any suspect information or a possible motive in the shooting.
